The Capital City Ringers Handbell Ensemble - Friends

As you may know, Capital City Ringers, Inc. is a non-profit organization with 501(c)(3) status and is funded primarily by donations from generous individuals like you, businesses, and corporations. In order to continue our efforts to advance the art of handbell ringing and to bring the joy of handbell music to our audiences, we have established the “Friends of Capital City Ringers” annual fund-raising program.

The expense of owning and maintaining six octaves of handbells and six octaves of handchimes, music, percussion equipment, lights, tables, etc., is substantial. In addition, we incur travel expenses as we bring our music to audiences near and far. We would like to enhance our ability to bring handbell music to the extended community with the addition of several costly items, and are seeking funding to acquire these items. In these trying economic times, we especially appreciate each and every one of our donors.

Items on CCR's Acquisition List (a.k.a. "CCR's Wish List") include:

7th Octave of bells: C#2: $4030; D2: $3775; D#2: $3470; E2: $3085;
F2: $2690; F#2: $2440 Total: $19, 490

Keyboard and amp - $1400.00

Stage lighting - $800

Porta-bell Chime cases - $1,500.00

If you (or know of anyone) who can contribute to the acquisition of any these items, or any portion thereof, please contact us, or simply become a Friend of CCR and designate that your donation be utilized for a particular item.

Items received or purchased through our Friends program to date:

Porta-bell travel bell cases - $550x2 + $575x2 + $595x2 = $3,440.00 - (Received - Thank you!)

C2 handbell: $3840 (Received - Thank you!)

CD Recorder - $600.00 - (Received - Thank you!)

Tables - $130.95 x 12 = $1,679.40 - (Received - Thank you!)

New table covers - $750 (Received - Thank you!)

Trailer - approx. $3,500.00 (Received - Thank you!)

We need your help!
If you (or know of anyone) who can contribute to the acquisition of any these items, or any portion thereof, please contact us, or simply become a Friend of CCR and designate that your donation be utilized for a particular item. Donations not specified for individual items go toward the general Friends fund for purchasing needed items. Appropriate acknowledgement will be provided unless designated as 'anonymous'.

In order to become a Friend of the Capital City Ringers, we have contribution forms for your convenience. Contributions are tax-deductible, and your name(s) will be included in our Lansing-area concert programs for the coming year, as well as on our web page as a Friend (including a link to your company or business web site for Corporate Sponsors). By listing our “Friends,” we hope to encourage others to become “Friends of CCR” and encourage our audience attendees to solicit our corporate sponsors. Click to view our current Friends of CCR. Remember, the Friends program is an annual fund-raising campaign, so you can take advantage of a tax-deductable donation each and every year!

Additionally, we now are offering business listings in our concert programs for a nominal donation of $50.00. These ads will reach hundreds of potential clients/customers each year. Click here for a .pdf form.
